Finding truly pure essential oils presented a problem for us, since the FDA has corrupted the meaning of the word "pure." Federal regulations permit essential oils to be labeled as "pure" even though the oils have been adulterated with up to 90% of "other" products. These other products could be water, oils such as olive, vegetable, etc, and even alcohol. Given the enormous amount of effort it takes to produce one drop of oil from one pound of botanicals, it's easy to understand why some manufacturers try to make their efforts go farther by beefing up their contents with significantly less expensive ingredients. While most oils are labeled appropriately, very few understand the compromising effectiveness they get when they use adulterated oils instead of truly pure ones. So, needless to say, the fact that we can offer PURE essential oils with NOTHING foreign cut into them is a great coup.
